Envolve Business offers a range of internal training courses to allow your organisation to improve its knowledge base. All courses are tailored to client needs and specifications allowing for greater applicability and therefore higher levels of engagement by delegates.

Introduction to Environmental Management (Systems & Standards)

This half day training course provides delegates with an introduction to Environmental Management Systems and the different standards for good practice that businesses can achieve including ISO 14001, BS8555 and EMAS.

EMS Implementation training (using BS8555 Approach)

This course is broken down into 6 modules corresponding with the six phases of BS8555. BS8555 is a new standard developed for small business and breaks the task of developing an Environmental Management System and achieving ISO 14001 or EMAS into "manageable chunks". Delegates can choose to attend the whole course or just select the modules appropriate to the phase they want their business to reach. At the end of attending the course delegates will have the skills and practical experience to develop an EMS to BS8555 standard within their businesses with minimal guidance.

Workforce Environmental Awareness Sessions

These sessions aim to inspire and motiate your employees to contribute to your environmental improvement goals. Sessions are tailored to the specific environmental issues and ambitions of your organisation. We have flexibility to deliver in the sessions in a way to suit the target audience (tool box talks, management / board briefings). If you are seeking to raise awareness as part of your work toward ISO 14001 then we can ensure that these sessions fulfil the requirements of ISO 14001 clause 4.4.2 Competence, Training and Awareness.

Introduction to Environmental Law

This half day training course provides delegates with an introduction to current UK environmental law and its practical implications for business. Delegates will receive guidance on systems for managing and checking legal compliance within their business. There will also be an update on new developments or changes in environmental law that may affect businesses in the near future.

Environmental Legislation Update

Help keep your company keep abreast of relevant legislation, understand the consequences of prosecution, and how to comply in the most cost-effective way with this short course. Speakers will also explain pending legislation changes to keep you one step ahead and, additionally, there will be a chance to look at areas of potential non-compliance and implications.

Waste Minimisation for Business

Waste comes in many guises but simply put, this course will enable you identify materials and resources which your company produces but never uses. A range of topics are covered with the aim of increasing profits and customer profile through a number of effective, practical initiatives and strategies.

Writing an Environmental Policy

An Environmental Policy outlines an organisation's mission in relation to managing the environmental effects and aspects of its operations. For organisations intending to obtain certification to the international standard ISO 14001 or registration under EMAS, the Environmental Policy is the cornerstone of an environmental management system and this course will provide you with the necessary skills.

The course provides comprehensive training in the planning, preparing, performing and external/internal reporting elements to ISO 14001 auditing. Case study materials and role-play exercises are used to develop and practice skills in all phases of auditing.
