A Community Café is now up and running 11am - 5pm every Tuesday at the Southdown Methodist Church Centre on the Hollow in Southdown. The café has a tasty, low cost menu ranging from jacket potatoes, soup and scones, salads, cottage pie, beans on toast and a range of delicious cakes and biscuits. It is family-friendly, with kids snacks, baby food, high chairs and toddler toys.

* Plus special offer for OAP's this month (April) - Main course, pudding and drink for only £3.50

* Catering/meetings at the Cafe: If you are running a meeting on a Tuesday and need catering either at the Cafe or at an outside venue contact Sarah Bird on 01225 442813 or speak to Naomi at the Cafe to book food/catering.

Activities at the Café this month:

• DIY/decorating team - newly launched - meets regularly to help do DIY and decorating tasks in resident's houses. Join the Time Bank team and help your neighbours and learn new skills for yourself.
  
• Gardening team - meets weekly to tackle resident's gardens and learn new skills.
