schools traffic & accident reduction project (STAR)

The STAR project aims to encourage children to explore transport issues and discover how the way they travel affects the world around them, particularly the ever-increasing use of the car.

The project seeks to promote responsible car use and other more sustainable forms of transport, such as foot, bike, bus or train. It aims to help children learn about the dangers of the road, the effect different transport options have on the environment and how health and fitness are affected by transport choices.

The resource pack provides detailed information for teachers, curriculum-linked activities and photocopiable pupil worksheets.
